I live with my boyfriend but he's out for the night... and I have a hard time sleeping when he's gone. I need to go to sleep soon because the baby wakes up early in the morning. Help!

I hear chrisathimum (sp? horrible!) tea is really good for soothing you and getting you asleep. Also that whole, relaz all the mucles working your way from the feet to the head works too.

If you can't sleep cause he's not there then find one of those pillows designed for lonely girls to hug at night. I think the Japanese made them haha.

Also, there're tons of "help with sleep" questions already asked, search the Yahoo Answers archives/old questions

I CONSTANTLY have this problem, as my husband is gone working during the week and I'm here alone. I can't seem to calm down. I take a hot shower or bath, usually while listening to soothing tunes (thunderstorm CD, ocean CD, Enya, Kenny G) and drink a glass of wine about an hour before I lay down. I can always tell a difference. Another thing I do once I lay down is reflect on positives in my life. I start talking to God...just a conversation between me and him and sometimes I'll be so relaxed, I'll drift off to sleep right in the middle of it. Good luck!

just wanted to let you know of a miracle pill that puts you to sleep, available over the counter, is actually very very beneficial for your health, and is only 3 bucks!! I had trouble falling asleep for years. I would lay in bed, and think and think and think for hours before I could fall asleep. It was literally driving me crazy!! I had tried every over the counter sleeping pill on the market and nothing helped. I turned to Nyquil and that did the trick. I had been drinking Nyquil almost every night to go to sleep until I stumbled upon this miracle sanity saving nutritional supplement named MELATONIN. And you can buy it at any GNC health food store. I advocate GNC because the melatonin they use goes through 85 different quality checks before its bottled. Buy the sublingual melatonin. The kind that dissolves underneath your tongue tastes like cherries and it’s good for you!! I was shocked at the effectiveness in putting me to sleep. If you have any questions before you buy it the sales associate at GNC should be able to answer any questions you have. It comes in 1 mg, I take 2 right before bed. The only side effects are weird dreams for the first two nights if any at all. You must take the sublingual kind from GNC otherwise it might not work because of quality and potency, should be taken at regular bedtimes in the evening.
God Bless
P.S. after you try it and it works don’t forget to tell others about it. You could be saving someone else’s Sanity

Sip a small cup of very hot milk.
but:

I think what will help you most in the long run is to make that good-fur-nothin boyfriend marry you.
I don't think you would have such a hard time sleeping if you knew he was committed to you and the baby for always.

Lay down and think of how lucky you are to have this beautiful baby and a place to live. Go to sleep praying it always works
for me. Probably because I keep praying I go to sleep faster.
Sweet dreams.

Sleeplessness is a symptom of a problem you are experiencing.
Do you trust your partner????
I think that this is the issue....Try to sort out your feelings and perhaps trust you partner and you will be able to sleep
