The Bush administration and the Republican party whipped up a great deal of anti-France bigotry and hysteria at the start of the Iraq war. We now know that Chirac made the right call however.

Now that we know the truth about WMD, America has turned against the war, and the war itself is lost...isn't it time for Bush to apologize to the French in person?

The people who engaged in the whole anti-France tirade reminded me of some petulent little brats who don't like to be told "no". Waaaaah~~

Who's right now Biotches???

oh and BTW, all you self righteous pricks who want to claim that the French are so cowardly and how everyone would be speaking German if it wasn't for us need to get over yourselves. The only war any of you wingnuts would go near would be the "war on Christmas" (tm) and FYI morons, if it wasn't for France's help during the Revolutionary war, we would all still be saying "God save the Queen" so take your self-righteousness and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Bush has never said anything negative about Chirac or France. He has never said anything negative about anyone. He has always had people who are willing to do his dirty work for him. Going all the way back to the McCain character assasinations, this has alway been the case. Our next President will have to try to make amends with France and thank them for trying to be our friends once again. A friend is someone who will tell you when you are making a mistake. And Chirac and the French definitely told us.

I believe it's an EXCELLENT idea but we both know, it'll never happen unfortunately. It's too bad more didn't have the foresight of Chirac back then....

of course, he should.

PS :All of U say we're cowards : take a history book, learn your lessons about Lafayette and cry...

Remember the words of Eisenhauwer about the french resistance...

Remember the incredible courage of our soldiers ("English gentlemen, please shoot first !") during the battle of Fontenoy against england in 1745.

Remember that we have won the most bloody battle of all time (Verdun in 1916...).

Remember that we have won the one hundred years war.

Remember that france were ALONE against Nazis in 1940.

Remember that, at least, 150 000 french soldiers died to defend their land in 1940.(as my 2 grand-fathers...)

Remember that today, we have the best anti terrorism secret services.

Remember that we are in Afghanistan to fight talibans...

Remember that France is now very popular in the world (according to a BBC world poll).

etc, etc, etc...

Remember that you have lost your last "real" allie in 2003...

France is a spineless country...that's why they didn't go to war, not that they are smart. Soon enough they'll get attacked on the scale of 9/11 and they will be kissing our butts and begging for our help. As for now they are a bankrupt country that will hopefully soon collapse. And by the way, the war is not lost. It's hippy, liberal thinking like yours that is making it harder for our brave soldiers who are over there fighting TO WIN- and they will!!

France is just starting to feel the consequences of trying to appease the Islamic radicals - they burned and rioted and the French kissed their butts a little more - a year later they rioted again in celebration of the first riot.
This policy of appeasement may be OK with you, but I suspect France's problems are just starting.

Do you live in France? If not maybe you should! No apologies are needed if you ask me. But, then again, I back the U. S. government. Not a foreign government that needs help from everyone else, then conveniently forgets about it. June 1944. Bet those who were there and there families won't forget about it.

Bush has alot to be apologetic for. Most recently Walter Reid and the recent abuse of the Patriot Act. Wonder what else will be coming out in the next few weeks

Any time a heated disagreement ends with the other guy
being right all along....there's no disgrace I can see in
the guy in the wrong saying, "I'm sorry, I apologize for
what happened between us."
