It's boring to sit in a theater 15 to 30 minutes with nothing to do. Make the seats go up and down or revolve to keep us entertained.

Because people will get motion sickness, or get injured when body parts or clothing get trapped in the seats, or will keep moving their butts when they first arrive in a vain effort to sit down as the chairs revolve, or spill their popcorns and drink or have difficulty watching the awesome trailers of upcoming movies or sue the operator because they just want to sit in a stationary seat to calm down after rushing to the theatre to make it on time.
That's why.
Though I like your idea. Motion simulators, anyone? :)

the middle seat interior the middle row interior the direction of the theater. That way i'm getting the perfect image. yet while i'm no longer able to get the middle seats, i like the top of any row. i'm getting claustrophobic in specific circumstances.

i work at a theatre and have for 1.5 years and i could not imagine having seats like that b.c. of the amount of energy used, maintence needed and distractions during the movie. we have the preshow for those who chose to get there early. you shoudl entertain your selfs or wait until it really starts to go sit down i never get there until the prviews start if then.

What are you.....2 years old?
Grow up!
You are one of the reasons that going to the movies is more annoying than entertaining.
I guess it is safe to assume that you talk and disrupt others during the movie because you are rude and restless.

It would be a safety issue. So try good conversation, or hopefully your theater runs some pre-show slides, trivia, or something.

haha i like your thinking! however, it would probably be a lot harder to deal with, especially if you were just getting situated in your seat. there would probably be less seats in the theater too.

Because people would get sick or get hurt horsing around. the insurance would be very costly and cleaning up would be a nightmare. people would sue theaters because they got hurt or the did not enjoy themselfs. $$$$$$
