I want to buy an electric guitar and I pretty much have my heart set on a "V-shaped" guitar. I'm thinking about getting this one, but has any of you ever heard of the brand?

Do you guys think that's good for the price? If not, what other "V-shaped" guitars can you suggest in the $100-200 range? Thanks for the help!

I found the same model for $ 109.00 on this site.

One of the things to watch for on discount guitars is this:
The internal wiring will have bad spots (shorts) and bad connections due to extremely light gauge stranded wire.
Another problem: switches and volume knobs that go out or pop and crack when adjusted at volume. The pick-ups are usually ceramic (nothing wrong with "good" ceramic p/u) and not very dependable. All of these problems can be repaired and replaced if desired. So look at the actual wood and neck. Check for warped neck. Oh, and cheap tuning pegs slip out of tune easily. They too can be replaced. Now after all that work and replacement is it worth it? If you are a beginner and need the practice, it may be your deal. But check out the other web site for a better price. Good luck.

It's a copy of the randy roads shaped Jackson guitar. If i were you i'd try and get the proper jackson second hand. Look out for ones in the RR series and if thats too much money there is the JS range.

Jacksons rule, I have a supped up Dk2.

I've never heard of that brand, either. I'd go with one more recognizable. You can get a Dean V for $200, I'm pretty sure they're OK for the price.

Don't know if you're a lefty or not, I haven't seen a lot of left-handed Vs in general.

You can't buy anythiing decent under $750, and come to terms with that. Is this guitar too crappy for $200, or just crappy enough? No one can tell. But that it's crap, there is no doubt. Better save money and buy one great guitar you'll love all your life.
BTW - V shape is totally impractical, clunky and pointless, unless you wanna impress girls with your surrogate penis. No serious player uses them (and just don't give me clowns like Rhoads or Dime - I said SERIOUS player).

Nope never heard of it. Probably something like a Squire. You do realize it's left handed right? Anyway It would be a good beginner guitar or a thrasher.

I would never buy a guitar like this since it would be a real pain to play without having a curve to rest on your leg. Unless you're going to be standing up while playing it then by all means.

If you can afford get a real Flying V they are better looking!
Hope that helped!

first off, its a lefty guitar, so if your left handed, this is probably one of the few places you will find them except for custom made.
if youre not, then i still think this would be an okay sort of brand, but if you can find a Gibson flying v or a jackson for that cheap, choose one of them.

I don't know if its worth it because I've never heard of them. Flying V's were mostly around during the 70's and 80's.
