I have had nothing but bad results from their stuff, whereas the namebrand products work great even if they are more expensive.

The shampoo is not the only bad product. Their deodorant doesn't work. Neither does their lotion or anything else.

I wonder if Suave has changed their formulas. I happily used their products for years, but recently my overall satisfaction has gone down. The hair products seem to dry out my hair and the lotions don't last as long. Suave deodorant is the only thing I do like from Suave these days.
I do know that when Nexxus was bought by Alberto Culver they changed the product formulations and started mass-marketing through the big box stores. Salons dropped the Nexxus products when the complaints started rolling in. Even the distributor my salon uses pulled all the Nexxus products from its region, and quit handling them.
I guess it's a case of you get what you pay for, and these days you can never be too sure of just what you're getting.

Suave is not really very good for the hair. There are some people who are content with it, but for many people, some of the ingredients are more damaging than good. I would never use it on my own hair (or any of my clients) unless I was totally in a pinch and that was all that was available, and I would use it and rinse it out quickly if that was the case. Not just Suave but White Rain and a lot of the less expensive products you can buy in the grocery store can be more damaging than good for permed, color treated, dry, or problem hair of any kind. Salon products are better and more reliable. I like Biolage and Redken the best.

I've had the same experience with Suave. It dried my hair out so bad, no matter what one I used.
I found Sunsilk and it's even better than the salon brands for me. I use the Hydra TLC shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and styling creme. I love it. My hair is thick and coarse and always felt like straw. Now it is so soft and healthy my new hairdresser didn't even know that I color my hair until I changed the color of my highlights, and I color it myself. I LOVE Sunsilk. Give it a try. They have a lot of different products that you can use, according to your hair type.

Suave uses good promotion to make people want to buy thier products.
It is not you..Suave sucks big time...

It is great shampoo! it makes my hair look pretty good, but i think im goanna switch to sunsilk because it makes hair look better.
