I am short and brown (which most white people seem to assume that I am latina, but I am half white half Indian) and date a mexican who is slightly overweight and taller than me? Why do I have to get dirty looks everywhere I go? I mean, I don't give other people dirty looks when they're just trying to enjoy their time with the ones they love.

Short and brown is beautiful. Let those ignorant bigots go to hell. Do your own thing and ignore them.

You have to develop a thicker skin. People are just insensitive, but don't stress over a dirty look. Ignore them. Even smile in their direction. They'll wonder what you're up too, and I hope it's enjoying time with the one you love.

They are just jealous because you are in love and have someone that returns that love. A lot of people don't have that in their life. Ah, **** em' that's what my mom would say. If it makes you feel any better my husband and I are both white, I am 5'2" and he is 6', and people glare at us in public. Not a lot of people, but we do get a few nasty looks here and there. I think it's because we're happy and affectionate or maybe it's because my husband has this thing with slapping my butt in public. Who knows? **** em'.

Well, you are in Amerikkka. That is the way of the country. It is what we've been founded upon; racism and hatred of what is different. Sorry that you have to deal with the painful reality of its ignorance. Conversely, this is the greatest country in the world (removes tongue from cheek).
