Spring is the time of renewal. Time for everything to refresh and and be reborn. Many Pagans consider the spring equinox the beginning of a new year.
It's my favorite time. I gives me hope.

To me, actually. I'm Pagan and the Vernal Equinox is a very special day. It's the festival of Ostara, a tribute to the Teutonic goddess Oster.

In legend, a small rabbit [fertility symbol] in the black forest (Oster's domain) wanted so much to impress his patron goddess. He felt insignificant in a way. Thus, he took an egg [another fertility symbol] that wouldn't hatch, painted it red [yet, again, fertility] with berries, and then brought it to Oster. She was so impressed that she told the "bunny" to share the gift with all the world.

Congradulations, THAT's where the "Easter Bunny" came from. XD

I will celebrate it. Try googling Ostara a goddess linked with springtime.
