If you don't know an answer or are unsure, why would you post an answer that not only advertises your stupidity, but also feeds false information to a person who may have asked a perfectly valid question?

They do it because they just want the two points. They are greedy and usually quite ignorant. Forgive and overlook them, don't let them get to you. They will reap what they sow. God bless you!

I am not sure why someone would do that.

Just kidding, I know what you mean. I am a Freemason and spend a lot of time each week trying to get real info about masons out there on this site, but the is just so much B.S put out there by people that have no idea about what they are talking about. I think what it comes down to is people believe any silly rumor they read so the post it take the two point and leave.

I am also an electrician i have seen answers get voted best answer when the advice is flat out wrong and dangerous. It can be very frustrating.

It is their perogative to try to answer questions under freedom of speech. Yahoo is also a fun website and not always so serious. If someone is seeking important and documentable information to questions that require steadfast accuracy, that person should consult a source of expert information that is well cited for it's accuracy, such as an encyclopedia or a scientifically acclaimed journal and refrain from total dependency on a public web site such as yahoo answers.
