1) Get good grades.
2) Talk to a school counselor (have you thought about becoming active in your drama department?)
3) Read books on filmmaking and cinema
4) Read magazine articles on filmmaking and filmmakers
5) Start looking at possible colleges (especially ones that have Film Studies programs)
6) Network out with young filmmakers
7) Watch films critically. Read movie reviews.

Good luck and always think about possible backup plans.

entertainmentcareers.net offers internships. Also, put your allowance toward your own idea...use a video camera to capture the moments of your best friends who are playing all the characters. You could be one of the youngest to take your project to that Robert Redford Film Festival. The girl who wrote Thirteen was actually thirteen years old. You can do it!

Instead of JUST GOING TO COLLEGE, join a club about filmmaking, get to know people about filmmaking, get a job that is related to filmmaking, and/or go online and research into it.
