who had a stronger military between the two axis powers, japan or nazi germany?

The Japanese were very powerful and disciplined. They blitzed all before them until they were stopped in New Guinea but overall I would have to put Germany in front. The Italians don't even rate a mention.

Nazis had the largest & best industrial with Japan probably second itally was smaller & not as well industrialized. the Leader of italy thought that after the war if the axis won europe would be split in two with the north germany & the small Italian... but most believe hitler would have turned on Italy at some point I.e the invasion by germany towards the end of 1944 I think.

It would depend upon your definitation of "stronger".
The Japanese had many more military personnel than the Nazis did
But if you are talking about the nature and "strength" of the kind of and type of warfare that either country was able to carry out I would have to say the Nazis due to their U-boats,tanks, rockets and jet air craft (later in the war) - even though Japan did have Air Craft carriers which the Nazis did not have..

You forgot that Italy was an Axis, but good question. I will have to go Japan ocean wise and Germany land wise.

At the start of the war Japanese army was under equipeed and obsolete notably the ground troops whereas the aviation had still obsolete engines. Technically the Japs were not prepared to sustain a long war of attrition but the USA was not either. The difference reside in the industrial potential of the USA which was enormous. When it came to mass produce armaments the US were definitely in a much better position...
