No because he hasnt done anything memorable except be consistant and that just doesnt cut it. He doesnt even have a ring. Lewis ran for 2,000 yards and has a ring and he wont even get close to getting in. So why should Tiki? Character doesnt matter in the H.O.F, the only thing that matters is how you do on the field. If character mattered, Micheal Irvin and O.J. Simpson wouldnt be in.

I say no. Tiki didn't play very long, and he didn't have that big of an impact. Tiki had 1 fumble per every 8.6 touches until 2002. If you want to compare him to someone who played the same amount of games as him, I suggest Barry Sanders. Barry had almost 5,000 more yards, 44 more touchdowns, and a 5.0 avg. Jim Brown had 2,000 more yards and 51 more touchdowns in 36 less games. You might as well ask if Robert Smith is a HOFer. He was a good back too, but just didn't play long enough.

Thurman did play in four super bowls and was a key ingredient for one of the best offenses of all times. So that gives him a huge nod above Tiki. Tiki was a good running back, but I'd doubt hall of fame. He really only had a couple great years, where he carried the team. Retiring early certainly hurts his chances. A couple of more years, than maybe he'd have a chance.

What your stats fail to show is the negative side of the statbook, like FUMBLES LOST for example. Which we all know Tiki had a big problem with there for a while. Thomas did go to like 4 superbowls and did compete at a successful level longer than tiki. Had tiki played for another 28 games, who know, perhpas we wouldnt even have to answer this question, but as it stands...I VOTE NO, not a hall of famer...& not as good as Thomas.

As a Giants fan I want to say yes but I don't think he had enough good years to warrant a Hall of Fame selection, at least not on the first few ballots. He had a great run from 2001 on and if not for the fumbling problems, he probably would've had even more yards and TD's. Thurman was on a dominant team so I see him having a better chance.

If I were a voter? No.
Tiki was plagued with career TO problems. 53 career fumbles (35 from 00 to 03) to be exact! Thomas had something like 11? So 88 TD's and 11 fumbles to 67 TD's and 53 fumbles. OUCH. No. Compared to other RB's Emmitt Smith had 26 in all his years, and yes some like LT in SD have had probs. 24 in his 6 seasons, but LT has Barry Sanders type numbers to even it out.
I give him credit for cleaning that up, but only 6 1000 yd seasons combined with all those fumbles and it equals no. Although he's one of only 5 RB's with 400 receptions?

Great question ...
I'm going to say YES, but it will take a while.
10,448 yards career plus more than 5,000 yards receiving. Certainly on the low-end of Hall of Fame backs.
However, Tiki walks from the game at 31, after a 1,600 yard plus season and THREE straight over 1,500 yards.
At the top of his game, which is when he walked, Barber is clearly a top-3 back, and until Tomlinson's outburst this year, Barber had a legitimate claim on being the best in the NFL last year (yes, he was better than Alexander last year).
Since 2003, Tiki has been the best back in the NFL not named Ladanian. Anybody saying Tiki never did anything MEMORABLE doesnt know football.
Plus, in a time when being a crybaby, thug or jerk is fashionable, Tiki is a class act.
I say open the Hall for one of the great backs of his generation.

He has been an incredible working lower back yet is, as you stated, on the low end of hall of popularity backs. individually the certainty that Tiki Barber has classification and is a superb individual skill a heck of so plenty extra effective than his stats. seem at a number of the different stars in this league, like Merriman, TO, and Vick, and tell me how a lot of them are classification acts. in the event that they win the excellent Bowl, he will probable get in, if no longer, probable no longer.

the recieving isn't that important compared to rushing and tikis numbers are ok but i still don't think with all the running backs in the league now that will be in competition with him to get into the hall of fame his chances are slim to none. plus tikis yardage is much less impressive than thomas'.

He may have had a chance but he quit too early and that bound to leave some people un-happy with him. Thurman may not have won the big one but I think he got there like four times, that has to count for something. If not for that embarrassing moment with losing his helmet I think he would already be in the hall of fame.
