No, there is still too much of a glimmer.
I won't be surprised if they win presidency in 2008, through no vote of mine or others who dislike them as much as I do.
The advent of Bush has tarnished all politicians, Democrats too. He's left a sour taste in my mouth for all them. I see them all as oily scamps.

The Republican Party is on a downward spiral that gets worse with each passing day and each new scandal. It started and ends with Bush. They have no one to run for the Presidency who has a shot in hell of beating the Democratic nominee - no matter who they are. They have cut their own throats, and though it's generally Bush doing the cutting, it's also his blind loyalists who volunteer to wield the knife every time he takes a break. The sad part is that they don't endeavor to recover by cutting their losses, admitting this President has made a mess of Iraq, and working to change that. Instead, they flail about, pointing fingers at Clinton to attempt misdirection and practice character assassination and more spin to try and dig themselves out. It has the opposite effect, and turns more moderates away from them and toward the Democrats. You think they would have learned something from the mid-terms. Mostly that those tactics just don't work anymore. But, for my part, they can continue on their course with ignominy. I have no sympathy for those who can't change course because their egos won't let them admit they were wrong.

bush is the thorn in the sides of the Americans, and that does include we honest republicans.
republicans aren't evil and there are great ones out there. it's your duty to pick a person not for their political party. it's y our duty to pick a person based on what they will do (or at least have to offer) our country.
there are as many crooked democrats as there are republicans. maybe it's not an issue of party, maybe it's an issue of being a politica "leader".
And stop the namecalling. No one cares about your opinion when you act some damn fools.
To answer your question ... no. We'll stick around a while.

Just for four years! I think there will always be up-and-coming stars in each party. Like in the Democratic party things looked pretty bleak and then Obama started his rise to the top.
I predict in a few years Charlie Crist, will be a possible Presidential candidate, he's a moderate Republican who has been doing wonderful things as a governor in Florida. I still think Jeb Bush has a chance with his family legacy despite his brother doing all his sabotage to the family name. Jeb is 10 times smarter and harder working than his brother. He has all the political connections and money, so I think he has a chance, definitely...

No. McCain says the Republicans were elected to change government but government changed them.
We just need to appoint a commission to look into what's wrong with government so it stops messing up the otherwise honest Republicans.
Newt could fix it. He's already taken the first step. He admitted he had extramarital affairs but prayed about it. That's a Republican president in the making.

And how. The repubs won't be in power for another 15 years. By then, they'll be able to blame everything on Bush, like they did with Nixon. Their NEW leader at that time will be the Anti-Christ, as phophecy fortells. And of course the AC will be defeated by Christ II, the Second Coming.

Unfortunately no. There are still plenty of Republicans around.
Don't ask me why. I don't know.
