how do i delete a partition and repartiton a hard drive?

i have an 8.4 mb hard drive that went down and the comp. said that it was dumping the physical memory

You need a system disk -- floppy with FDISK utility on it, or a program like partition magic.

Restart your computer with the system disk that will bring you to the DOS prompt.
Type FDISK
and choose your commands from the list.

Id read the internet articles on fdisk, to earn difference between different types of partiitions, but that will be it.

Soft ware by NORTON will do it.

The WINDOWS XP imsyallation CD will also do it. But you have to continue on and install
windows. All DATA is GONE!

DOS4GW.EXE is a required file for Active@ KillDisk, Active@ UNERASER and Active@ Disk Image.
