Because no one would like us if we stopped helping them. We are America, we are so great, the other countries feel like its our responsibility to make them prosper also. Its sad really.

I could say exactly the same about Australia, we have so many homeless people, many kids, that I have often wondered the same thing. I am sorry for the suffering happening in this world, but charity should start at home

Good question, I keep on asking that myself. I think they do it because we try to be every body's best friend. We are afraid to try to help America because we are trying to practice on the other countries first so we don't screw America up more than it already is.

I would say that it DOES. Domestic welfare, medicare, and social security expenditures comprise a great percentage of taxpayer's spending while foreign aid comprises just a very tiny percent. So I am not sure what you mean.

TAKE A LOOK AROUND WE HAVE SO MANY CHILDREN IN OUR FOSTER SYSTEM AND BEING NEGLECTED HERE IN THE US!!!!

because helping ourselves is too politically incorrect, even though it is the right thing to do, like evicting/jailing illegal immigrants.
