I feel sometimes that I shouldn't even be in a relationship. And I should learn to be independent. I've always had a bf and I haven't been really single in a long time. I'm also very controlling.

But he is a great guy...the best boyfriend I ever had. There's really nothing to be jealous about...its more like I'm selfish. I want to have him all to myself. I guess...that sounds bad, but its true. I do love him...but I don't know whats the best thing for me. Should I break up with someone I love to find myself or what?

It sounds like you need to make yourself happy and not depend on anyone to do that for you. What is the reason that you are jealous? Has HE done something to make you feel uneasy? or is it all in your head? If he really gave you no reason then you need to look deep within yourself and see why you are so insecure.

There's nothing wrong with men having their own lives, friendships, and hobbies, as a matter of fact you , that is what makes them interesting, not someone who is just around to tend to you hand & foot.

You said it yourself, you need to learn to be independant, as well as confident, and realize that when you feel you need to keep control, it never really works that way. You know that song, "If you love somebody, set them free"? it's really true, it is better to have someone to come to you from his own will.

Learn to grow for yourself and discover things about you that make you valuable.

Yes, you should break up. Fix the things about yourself that you are not happy with and then start a new relationship. If you think the relationship is unhealthy then it is. sorry, good luck to you -k-

Jealousy is a well known relationship killer.
If you feel you should learn to be independent then you probably should. Sometimes our biggest mistakes result from not trusting ourselves.

it sound like you need to let him go and find out why you are
so controlling and jealous. that a not a good sign of any
realationship lasting. you need to love your self before you
can love someone else.
