PCBroker is correct ; you might have to send it in for repair or at least take it to a store or repair center that can put it on a flashing station.

The sw updater instructions warn you to make sure that the battery is fully charged before doing the update. You gambled ... and maybe lost.

There is some chance that the sw download didn't complete and the reflash never started. Maybe the sw is just hung or the battery is too low to allow the sw to run. If so you may be able to revive the n90 by doing a cold reboot. Make sure you have a good battery when you do it.

Try removing the battery for 10sec then reinserting it. This may allow the software to restart sucessfully. However, if the battery is almost dead then it might not restart.

If there is enough charge to do so it will alert you that the battery is low by emitting a three or four note tone. It would be best to get in on a charger asap.

If you were doing a firmware upgrade, it sounds like you may have not completed the upgrade. Firmware is like the operating system on your computer. Without a complete install of an operating system, a device is usually rendered useless - frequently without even the firmware support for re-flashing the unit. Unfortunatley, if this is the case, it will render your phone useless untill it is corrected.

Unless you really know what you are doing, this usually means you need to take it in to your cellular provider for reflash, or possibly even replacement.

Sorry ;(

I tend to agree with 'pcbroker'. The update instructions clearly tell you to connect the phone to power supply during the update process.
