log6x=2
it is base 10, so you take the 10 to the power of whatever is on the right side of the equation, in this case it's 2. Cancel the "log" and leave the 6x on one side. You should get this:

10^2=6x
100=6x
x=50/3
x=16.6667

hope this helped

log6x=2
log base 6 x = 2
take the log base 6 to the 2 side
x= 6 to power of 2

have fun doing logarithms!!

That depends on if the base is 6, or if it is a common log with the base being 10.

If base of 6 the answer equates into 6^2=X=36

If base of 10 the answer equates into 10^2=6x
6x=100, X=16.6666.....

Change the 2 to the base of 10:
6x=10^2
6x=100
x=50/3

Check:
log(6(50/3))=2
log(100)=2
2=2

I hope this helps!

Does that mean

log(6x) = 2 or

log[base 6](x) = 2

I'm guessing you mean the second one.

log[base 6](x) = 2 in exponential form is

6^2 = x, or

x = 36

it can be log(6x) = 2 or log_6 (x) = 2

since Puggy already used the second equation, i'll solve the first one

log(6x) =2

change to exponent form
10^2 = 6x
100 = 6x
x = 50/3
