Hi – I sell on eBay. I profit about $3,500 a month. eBay has been my full time job for 4 years, and I have sold over 12,000 items. I also teach eBay classes.
I find items at second hand stores, garage sales, clearance sales, estate sales, and consignment stores to resell on eBay. Some of the items are used, some are new. You can start by selling items you already have, and learn the process and decide if eBay is for you.
Do you have a skill that's in demand? I know people who sell services like web design or graphic design. Other people sell handmade items like jewelry, customized baby items, or craft items. There are many ways to earn a living on ebay, either part-time or full-time.
Please email me directly at elizabethwells815@yahoo.com if I can answer any specific questions.

Online stuff is mainly a load of rubbish I have spent thousands and got nothing. They tell you you are not doing it correctly but unless you spend thousands you won't make thousands. You are better off selling Tupperware or something when you are home. My wife does it when I am home to look after kids. Stay away from Amway or anything like that. Just sell Tupperware or Partylite or Bodyshop or Intimo (Lingerie) or something that suits. Tupperware is a big winner.

TreasureTrooper, Treasure Trooper, TreasureTrooper. I can't say it enough times. It is, in my opinion, and many others, the most legit, easiest, and highest paying website. Some people make hundreds of dollars a month taking this site seriously. I have recieved checks from them, and so has everyone else in this 63 page thread of payment proof in their forum: http://forum.treasuretrooper.com/index.php?showtopic=17509&st=620&start=620
It's an amazing site, not to mention actually fun (you can collect gems and coins to trade in, go on treasure hunts, etc.)

I used to think it was all a load of crap that you can make money at home on your computer, boy was I ever way too skeptical and could kick myself for not giving this stuff a chance years ago. Anyway click on my avatar and look at some of the links I have there, they'll point you in the right direction.

People do it every day. Just find something you are passionate about and knowledgeable about. A friend I work with has been selling die-cast models on-line for a number of years. He has managed to gross nearly a million a year. Now he is getting out of the business and getting ready to retire early. So yeah you can make quite a bit selling things you know about. Good luck.

Of course you can make money from home, i was skeptic when i started internet marketing 1 yr ago. Until i received my First cheque......then i know that it was real.
I tried affiliate marketing when i first started, i joined clickbank.com and promote their products. I learned how to choose a right product to promote, how to advertise in Google Adwords and other FREE ways to promote my affiliate link.
It was a tough learning pave, but once you are on the right track, you start to earn money.
Anyway, joining clickbank is FREE and there are many FREE ways to promote your affiliate products. Learn it and you need not to spend your own money to get start.
