Do you know why Judging Amy was taken off the air? Everyone I know loved the show. Can we get them to start making the shows again?

After six seasons, the show was cancelled by CBS on May 18, 2005. It still had solid ratings in its time slot, but the network felt the other pilots for the new season would garner even better ratings, especially among younger viewers.

It was (and still is because of the repeats on TBS) one of my favorite shows. When it ended I was hoping they would so a spin-off with her mom or some of the other characters. Donna was a hoot! And some of the kids that went through Judge Grey's courtroom were a mess! Poor Graciela! You know she was killed in real life in a drive-by shooting? That's just wild!
From my understanding the show was canceled because ratings fell so they ended the show with Amy running for Congress.

I think because the star of the show had a baby and decided to stop working for a while. Otherwise it is still on in reruns. If you really have a great deal of time on your hands you could organize a picket outside the executive offices of the studio and demand that it be put back on the air. I'd watch it if they did, but I'm not going to protest with you. I have found new shows to watch. Law and Order anyone?

That was one of my favorite shows. I think she went for/made it to Congress/Senate on the show (don't remember exactly), so she wasn't a judge anymore? Not sure why in real life.

Low ratings and one of the stars died (Richard Crenna). I didnt care for it all that much really
