I had this problem around 30 weeks and they were NOT Braxton-Hicks contractions. When I went to the doctor I was already dilated. Since you already had one preterm birth, you have a much higher risk of having subsequent ones. My contractions were stronger when I was dehydrated and the doctor made me pound like six glasses of water in half hour. Stay off your feet until you talk to your doctor. You should call your doctor soon probably. It could very well be Braxton Hicks though. Best of Luck

It could be braxton Hicks contractions, they are just contractions that get your body ready for the real thing. Or they could be preterm labor contractions. If you are not sure and they dont go away with rest call your doctor.

Probably isn't, but you should call your physician or the ER and ask them. It is most likely Braxton Hicks contractions. However, CALL. If you can't get your physician, go to the ER to make certain you aren't in preterm labor. If you are, at this point it can be stopped. Don't wait.

Drink water, pee, and lay down. Pregnant women get dehydrated very fast and not urinating can encourage contractions. I'd bed they are just braxton-hicks (practice contractions) - I had them from 20 weeks, but if you have one every 15 minutes for more than an hour call your doctor right away, just in case.

You should go to the ER as soon as you can!..i also have a history of premature birth and went into labor early the second time :(..It really dont sound like Braxton hicks to me but i could be wrong...If The contractions dont stop soon and you start to feel dull pressure go ! Just to be safe go soon anyways, so they will have time to stop it if they can (the sooner the better)!...you are still at an early stage of pregnancy and something needs to be done! ..goodluck hun! and best wishes!

a trick a nurse told me in Tx once that if u take a warm bath for abt half hour and just relax when u get out if u still feel it then call ur dr or go to the er. if they go away it was just b.h contractions ( not the real thing) and nothing to worry abt. I would bring it up to ur dr anyway on ur next vist.

I actually never had any noticeable ones. I was hooked up to the monitor for a while at 36-38 weeks though, and I was having them, just didn't feel it.

probably not. they most likely are braxton hicks or false contractions. if they continue for much longer u should go to the hospital just to be safe tho.( it might also be gas)

First of all go pee! If you need to use the bathroom, it will make you contract. Second, drink some water...lots of it, it may go away.
