I took Algebra II/Trig H last year because that was the highest math class a sophomore in my school was allowed to take. After that, the majority of us went to Pre-Calculus. Everything we are doing has been review which would be fine if I didn't already know this stuff or if I hadn't practiced it over the summer (yes, I'm that big of a geek). Anyhow, the school's administrators just decided that all of the juniors, sophomores, and some freshmen who are taking the Alg II/Trig H class this year will be in Calculus AB with us next year. I don't have a problem with being in a class with sophomores or juniors, but I don't think it's fair to all of us who had to suffer through this year for them to skip when some of them refused to take Algebra I H in 8th grade because they were too lazy. I also don't think it's fair to the few sophomores in my class who took Alg I H in the 7th grade for their achievements to be discredited.

Am I being overdramatic? Should I talk to my class counselor?

I do think you are overreacting a bit. Why assume it's laziness that kept kids from taking classes in JH? Many schools reccommend which classes to take even at that early level. If it was felt that the kids needed to have another year of regular math to prepare for algebra, that does not reflect poorly on you.
I don't know why your school is changing its policy (perhaps they are purchasing new text books in which the scope and sequence lines up in a different manner-not all companies set up their books in the same way. Some offer more advanced concepts earlier than others, which would result in 'skipping'), but if this is a seriously big issue for you may-be you should see if there are some computer courses available for you to take for partial college credit.

No sweetie, I don't think your being overdramatic. It oviously bugs you. I agree about it not being fair and I think the kids now a days will get what they can for nothing... Yes, I think you should talk to your class counselor.

you are not being over dramatic, but you are letting the 'little' things get to you!! dont stress over something which you have no control over, just concentrate on what is important to you and set about achieving your goals
