Features:
-no screen
-shuffle, or no shuffle
-easy to carry
-easy to lose if you can't keep track of it
-clips on to your clothes
-comes in 1 color
-holds up to 240 songs

ipod nano-ranges from149-249 dollars
-small
-color screen
-scroll wheel
-six different colors available, pink, green, blue, silver, black and red
-laser engraving available
-holds up to 500-2000 songs
-can hold pictures

video ipod-249-349 dollars
-large
-easy to keep track of
-color screen

-two colors available, black and white
-can watch videos
-can hold pictures
-you will probably get the most out of this one

*all ipods have software to install
**songs on itunes (which is included in the software) are each 99 cents, while videos range from $1.99-around $9.99
***songs/movies from CD's/DVD's which you already have can buy also can be loaded on to an ipod video

Hope this helps! Any other questions feel free to email and ask me!

Note: You do NOT need a Mac to use ipods!

I would recommend the Ipod minis.... you cant really buy them in stores tho... I really like mine tho... it works very well and ive had it for almost 3 years. The only flaw that it has is that the battery doesnt like to keep a charge when its not plugged in... but that didnt start to happen until a year or two of owning it and using it everyday

I have an ipod (an actual ipod) that's two years old or so and the sound quality is excellent. If anything its probably better on new models. I highly recommend them.
