The drinking age and liquor buying age in California is 21. Bars close at 2am. Stores will not sell liquor after 2am. Every state has their own liquor laws.

In all of America you must be 21 to buy and drink alcohol. In fact, if an underage person drinks and hurts someone while drunk driving, the people who provided the alcohol can be charged with criminal negligence. The laws are very strict here.

To consume alcohol in California you must be 21. If someone provides you the alcohol they could be arrested.
