I took an HPT thurs morning and it was +. I took one this morning (Sat) and it was + (both AccuClear). I had had slight cramping yesterday and part of today. Today I started spotting, but it was different in color and smell than my period. Went to the ER to be safe (Sat night), they took blood and said I wasn't pregnant. There's a small possibility I would only be about 3 weeks pregnant so I don't know if it is too early for the bloodwork to pick it up or not (my friend said that was an option). It could be a miscarriage, I don't know. The doctor left before I could ask what my hCG level had been. Even the PA said it sounded like I was pregnant and it may be a miscarriage. They didn't do an exam and they didn't give me any answers. I haven't taken anything that would cause a false positive. I'm almost 100% sure I don't have any STDs (cuz my bf didn't and I've been - tested before). I'm gonna take another test in the morning.

I've always been regular and would be starting my period right now over a week early. Could there be delayed implantation or something totally different? I'm soooooo confused. Gonna try to talk to a doctor next week

if you took two test that said you were pregnant but the Dr said you weren't try taking another test if comes out + as well then make an appointment for pregnancy they will also give you a test if it is positive they will keep making you apt you should ask a Dr for a blood test though because it will detect the pregnancy if you are good luck and i don't think it was a miscarriage give it another try

I had the exact same thing, I went to the dr after taking 2 HPT's and there test came back negative also. however I had a chemical pregnancy which is an early misscarriage. I started out having just light bleeding then a few days later I had cramps. Then I had a really heavy period. my doctor did tell me that most HPT are more sensitive than the urin tests that they use in their offices or even at hospitals. I would suggest that you wait until your period is about a week late before you retest. My period is now late again and I am waiting until next week before I retest. Good luck to you!!!

If I got this straight....HPT are ovulation predictors? If you are only 3 weeks pregnant you would not have even missed your period yet so the hcg levels would still be lower, but a blood test should pick up on it. I'd say its probably implantation bleeding. From what I have been told early miscarriages (in those first 4 weeks) are like really heavy periods. See your doc on Monday, and pee on that stick the day you would expect your period.

With my 3rd son, I took an HPT that was designed to test even before your period is due. It was positive & I went to the clinic where the blood test came back negative. I had to wait another week before I tested positive. So you may just need to hang on a week and try again. I know waiting is a killer.

Implantation bleeding usually occurs 10 +/- days after conception. It can last a day or two sometimes.

So, just wait, and test with a plain ol' HPT.

Good luck.

From the info you gave its sounds like early miscarriage =/

with pregnancy tests, hCG can first be found in the blood and if you got positive HPTs then at one point it would have been high enough for a blood test to show it.

hCG is in your blood first and then urine. When you miscarry the hormone leaves the blood but may remain in the urine for a while and this is why it wouldnt show in a blood test.

Strange that the test would be positive if you weren't pregnant. You need to find out his blood type and see that you are the same. If it was a miscarriage you may need one of those shots if you have the RH differences.

You will prolly hear this alot. the blood tests are always right, you prolly had a miscarrage! i would see my dr. and tell them and see what they say, they will have more time for you then the ER.

make an appointment with your regular doctor so he/she can sit and talk with you if you need it. I wouldn't give up yet. I've never heard of this before. Good Luck.
