I loved it... It goes deep into the psychological terror a dictatorship has on the people; it explores so vividly and realistically the violence that the oppressed is driven to in order to reclame their civil liberties; and yet, it so beautifully intertwined hope and prosperity of a country in the hands and heart of the innocence of chilhood; and that fantasy seemed so attainable...

I LOVED 'Pan's Labyrinth' ... it told a 'good story' of the 'horrors of war' and a good 'myth' about a 'good little girl' who must 'live through the war' but is 'rescued' by her 'family' in Pan's Labyrinth, even though she 'made mistakes' when Pan gave her the 'assignments.' It's a 'good story' about how children can and do 'survive' under the most 'horrible' of circumstances.
