I am a stay-at-home mom so of course I am over worked, and I am under paid... in that I don't get paid at all !

I have the absolute most over-worked and under-paid job in the history of time: I'm a stay-at-home mother of two children under the age of three.

I work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no vacation or personal days. I am not allowed to call in sick or even to reduce my workload or efficiency while sick. I can't even go to the bathroom alone.

While I don't get monetary pay, at least the benefits are rewarding -- the satisfaction of knowing that I am raising my own children instead of paying someone else to do it for me, for example. I get to experience all their milestones, fix all their boo-boos, and it's a huge ego boost when two people think that you hung the moon and the stars.

Oh yeah.

Well let's see there's the 2 hour programming job I took from my husband's work that turned into 2 weeks, and there is a cap on how much they are paying. I can't tell them to bugger off because I don't deal with the clients directly.

I breastfeed constantly. I can't get my son to *only* wake 1-3 times a night. He wakes like 6 times and he's 1.

I do all the cooking, if I don't do the dishes they don't get done even though that and putting the garbage at the curb are my husband's only "chores".

Nope, I am self employed. Real Freedom. The more I work, the more I make. i can take a nap in the middle of the day.

im a stay at home mom, and im waaaay over paid. the experience i get from my kids is worth more than any dollar!
