I let my 14 year old daughter watch Pulp Fiction, probably against my better judgement. Anyway, she has now become obsessed with anything by Quentin Tarantino and is quickly becoming a huge fan of his. Other parents of her friends have stopped letting their kids come over hear in fear that we will let them watch something by Tarantino. Are the other parents over-protective or was i too easygoing?

Tarantino is the director by the way. Yes I have seen all his movies and my husband and I are also big fans, are we influencing her choices?

if your daughter is mature enough to handle the subject matter then its fine, if not then no. it all depends on the kid.
have you watched the movies yourself? it could open a dialog between the two of you about some adult issues that tarantino has in his films.
if her friends parents don't want their children over to your home, you should explain to their parents that you will respet there parenting choices and the rule is that those types of movies will not be shown. and explain this to your daughter that if friends come over she can't watch/show these kinds of movies with them.

yes other parents are to overprotective. If u feel ok with letting her watch his movies its fine. u cant raise your daughter how other parents want u to. u need to raise her how u see fit

parents are over protective my mom lets me watch watever the hell i want and im a very good kid i do well in school

it's neither. you'll always be a good mom no matter what. the parents are probably nervous because they're not used to something like this.

they are overprotective, if you want to let her do that, it is your choice, not theirs
