You know, you're right. All the idiots that listen to Fox News would still be idiots with idiotic beliefs even if there were no Fox News. Thank you for the epiphany. I'm not being sarcastic here, either. Thank you.

Maybe because many of the dissenting voices give reasons gleaned directly from negative stories they hear or see on TV, radio, newspapers. You can't tell me you don't think the "main stream media" doesn't focus almost exclusively on the bad that is going on over there. While FOX reports deaths, helicopter crashes etc. But they also show little girls going to school, hospitals being built, Iraqi children sitting on the laps of our soldiers. The media (both sides) do play a major role in how Americans perceive this war.

The media is not to blame (totally) for ones point of view. The media is to blame for not doing its job-which is to report the news as to what, where, when, who, and how and leave off their OPINION as to WHY unless they are not reporting news but are an opinionated journalist (and IDENTIFIED AS EITHER A CONSERVATIVE OR LIBERAL). Fox news is a fair and balanced news site regardless of what anyone says. When they report the news, they report the news without any slant. They have their liberals and they have their conservatives on the O'Reilly Factor or Hannity & Colmes or the Beltway Boys but it is all BALANCED. They attempt to present both sides opinions and let YOU, the viewer decide who you agree with. There is nothing wrong with HONEST dissent but all the irrationality and hatred and the fabricating of stories to report on the news is NOT HONEST DISSENT.

The news media does not have a fair view on anything, they form opinions and state them.
They support a candidate which is a view, not fair to the public, as an example. If the news media wants to get out of the hot seat then report facts not opinions.

Liberal Media when refering to the major media outlets--DOES NOT EXIST! The interests of the entities that own it are conservative and push the underlying corporate agenda when given the opportunity. You can't own a multi-Billion dollar defense contract on one hand and bash the war with the other--That's what companies like GE who own NBC have to deal with every day.
All of our major outlets are consevatively slanted and dumbed down to the point of uselessness. Heard a story about Afghanistan lately?
The few shows here and there that voice Anti-conservative idealogy are not liberal--they are mainstream. You don't see the conservatives trying to kill off funding for PBS and NPR because they are liberal. The mainstream point of view and the liberal point of view are progressive, the sooner consevatives figure out what that means the better. You can't have Dick Cheney calling Editors and Department heads in the media and threatening them with the pulling of advertisers if they report certain stories. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=8238

The media is a source that the f**** government use to make the people ignorant, not leting them have a point of view of thier own. The media is the reason why the country has modern slaves. I don't blame the media for anything they say. I blame the media for all the things that they don't say. They are supposed to be our watchdog on the government. And when they spend so much time on nonsense, they're not telling us everything that we need to know. One murder in a small town doesn't warrant national media attention. One celebrities death or head shaving doesn't warrant national media attention. There is too much that the people need to be told. Why aren't they telling us?

Actually, Fox isn't that right wing. There news is more to the center but all media has been proven to be left.
Fox opinion segments are right but the actual news reporting is more center.

No because of the fact I admire others' perspective. If ever we've ameliorations from each and each others perspective, so be it. what's amazingly significant is the education perception I have been given and the ethical lesson it further.

Because the Liberal media usually always lets their Liberal guests lie on their programs. What about CBS, and their false news stories?
