Is that the best they got? I'm laughing out loud at the sillyness of it all.

I've been getting a kick out of it too. The best they can do, besides the two things you've mentioned, is also Obama's preacher on the pulpit performance in Alabama, along with his smoking (gasp!), his drug use in his youth that at least he acknowleged and openly talked about, and some investments that he's straightening out as we speak. Then there's Hillary's touch of the Southern accent in Alabama, her hairstyle, and the never proven accusations of murder and intrigue that are so old they have mold growing on them. Yet they don't have one solid REALLY Republican candidate that has a chance of beating any Democratic candidate whether it be Hillary, Obama or Edwards. Is it panic? Is it sour grapes? Or is it just desperation?

No, they are simply pointing out the double stanard between how these people say to live and how they actually live. Both of these people have made their lifestyles imporant pieces of their arguments, and thus anyone investigating their argument should be aware they don't live according to their own standards.

I think you will find that most name calling and personal attacks are done by liberals, and the press generally goes along with it.

I personally wish we could discuss our different viewpoints on issues and fight for what we believe in, but then act civil and get around when not discussing politics. I don't like the partisan nature of both sides, and wish the comedians would move on from the "Bush is stupid" jokes.

I'm a conservative, and my biggest complaints are that the democrats will raise taxes and hurt the economy by takings actions such as uniionizing airport screeners. I'm also deeply concerned about the magnitude of illegal immigration and the amnesty agenda of Bush, some republicans, and most democrats. The war in iraq and out of control, wasteful government spending are also complains I have now.

Laugh all you want Einstein. what Conservatives are complaining about is the hypocrisy of people like Gore and Edwards telling others that they need to change their life styles while continuing their own and excusing it with some phony scam about pollution credits or some such crap. But you keep on laughing cause its people like you that make the rest of us look really intelligent. Least ways we're smart enough not to fall prey to this 'Global Warming' scam. Any competent high school science teacher can put that theory to rest. A private school teacher could anyway.

it is not that Hillary spoke in an accessory, this is that she placed in this type of pretend and compelled accessory to pander to a particular objective industry. In different words, the difficulty is her fakery, no longer the accessory. it is not that Al Gore makes use of electric energy; this is the reality that he pontificates to all and sundry else to shield on a similar time as he makes use of 20 circumstances as much as maximum folk - actual greater, in view that we've merely figures for certainly one of four extensive residences. further, he lectures us approximately scaling down on emissions on a similar time as he burns greater jet gasoline in an standard month than maximum folk do in 5 years. He claims to purchase 'carbon offsets' by ability of paying a beginning which he owns to stifle progression in 0.33 worldwide international locations. In different words - it isn't the electrical energy, this is the hypocrisy it represents. John Edwards lectures us correct to the '2 Americas' and how all of us must be keen to offer to the fewer fortunate; on a similar time as he builds a huge palace for himself. back, it isn't the homestead however the hypocrisy. Obama smokes? ok, you obtain me there. Smoking is a stupid and unstable habit, in spite of if it is not precisely a gruesome sin. greater TO the element, it is not pretend or hypocritical given his commonplace positions on quite a few matters. it could nonetheless be mind-blowing if he'd stopped, if no longer for his very own wellbeing then as a sturdy occasion.

seems to be all they have...

and they are apparently supposed to be "hypocrites" because of this... even though, as far as I have heard... Gore is being "carbon neutral," which is what he preaches... and Edwards never said anyone couldn't have a big house... he just wants all the people in big houses to help the poor...

they don't seem to really grasp the arguments that Edwards and Gore bring to the table... to realize that they aren't hypocrites...

oh.. .and they also cry about Obama smoking? first time I think I've ever heard that raised as an issue before...

and don't forget... Newt Gingrich isn't a hypocrite though... I guess we just don't understand that issue...

well there's the worthless 5 day debate for nothing but emboldening the enemy. Obey calling your own people idiots, the great 100hrs (that took 3 weeks) agenda still hasn't even sent one thing for signing. there the most ethical congress putting a man on tape taking a bribe on the homeland security committee. 17 different attempts to slow bleed the troops. probably more but your not going to read this and just Thumbs down represented of a tolerant liberal. I guess the unadulterated baseless hate some have never see what they dont want to acknowledge.

I read those stories about Gore,s house, but they are pure nonsense a couple weeks ago I ran those Numbers through my Electrical calculator. His demand by the numbers cited would have been a continuous draw of 238 amps per phase.
I have built some of the most wasteful houses for rich guys and full demand with every light on, pool pump, spa, dryer oven, washer, and everything on in a 15,000 square foot house and it was only about 220 amps. So they are saying that 24 hrs, a day 7 days a week he has everything on at full tilt.....No Way.

What people think is they should lead by example and they are not. They are doing the old do as I say not as I do. Which is fine for the feeble minded that blindly swoon over them. It's like Ted Kennedy wanting to raise taxes on the wealthy that pay the majority of taxes as it is and then he has his family wealth in Fiji to avoid paying his fair share of taxes.

Personally, I only occasionally bring up Gore's electric bill, simply because he keeps telling me that I should switch to florescent light bulbs. My electric bill is less than 10% of his.
Does that sound logical to you that it is I that should be conserving more?
