for the past few days i have been having this weird feeling in my stomach, like my baby is kicking me. but i am not far enough along to be able to feel the baby kick yet. i'm only 4-6 weeks, is this normal? Someone told me they thought it was my utrus stretching, but they didn't understand why it would be stretching yet, b/c they are about 5 months and just started to feel the things i'm feelin. What could it be if my uturs isn't stretching? thanks for your answers!

Hmm... well first off let me just say that if you're only 4-6 weeks, you shouldn't be feeling anything. Gas bubbles are a definite possibility, but the pregnancy hasn't progressed long enough for any real effects. You shouldn't be bulging or showing (if it's your first) until anywhere from 16-24 weeks. Sometimes it's even later!! stretching wouldn't make much sense because your uterus is still too tiny. Honestly, it's probably gas... that or you're farther along than you think. You should consider having a sonogram done at your next OBGYN appt.

I swear that I could feel this baby (my third) start kicking at 7 weeks. It may just be gas, you may just be extra aware. In theory, you shoudn't be able to feel the baby kick until closer to 14weeks. I believe that this baby has made me lose my mind but it could be stretching or little contractions that happen in the first trimester. Mention it to your doctor (don't be surprised if they look at you a little funny though). It isn't anything to worry about.

Could be gas.

Your only 4/6 weeks. You wouldn't be able to feel the baby kicking or even moving around yet.

Congradulations and good luck.

Hormones go haywire when we are pregnant and create all sorts of weird sensations in our bodies. A lot of it is in our heads because we know there is a growing body inside of us. Ligaments are starting to get soft and stretchy - you'll probably find your hips clicking soon. anyway, enjoy and don't worry. Pregnancy is a wonderful thing.
