If you guys hate Kobe so damn much and spend so much effort into annunciating his cons, then who is good at basketball?
I know you guys want to say you are better than Kobe but talk realistically. That means get the cock out of your mouth.

How do you know that Kobe thinks he is the best player. I doubt he actually thinks that way. Personally I also think that he may not be the best leader, but he is enough of a leader. Some people are talking about him not being a good enough leader, well that isn't something you can necessarily develop, some guys are just naturally better leaders. And by the way Kobe has 10 less field goal attempts than Lebron this season, which should say something to all of those people

KOBE IS A GREAT PLAYER AND HE IS A HEAD CASE JUST LIKE HIS DAD.

unfortunately when players make wrong decisions in their careers, they will always be defined for that moment. Kobe's defining moment was breaking up the team that included Shaq. his selfishness drove the franchise to trade away the most dominant centre in years. all great players, doesnt matter what they win or how good they are, they will alway be remembered for the mistakes they have made...another example would be Scottie Pippen who when Jordan retired the first time was the man of the team. in one game against the knicks he refused to enter the game with 1.3 seconds left because the last shot was given to Kukoc. Pippen is a future hall of famer and a fantastic player, but this incident has still haunted him.

Sure kobe takes the shots, he takes the criticism and he has been known to take a few verbal jabs at players in the L. but one thing u cant deny is the fact that the kid can play. he is a great offensive threat who although people say doesnt pass the ball and shoots too much, he actually posts good assist numbers for a 2 guard.

Kobe has redefined himself this season and is now the leader the Lakers have been waiting for. he is the reason and the only reason the team has stayed in the play off race throughout the entire season.

not all players are perfect, they all make mistakes. but past mistakes need to stay in the past. he is a different player now. now more so then before, Kobe is a real star in the L.

Lebron will be better. D-Wade is already as good or better.

Kobe isn't even the best player in the game today, let alone of all time. When all is said and done, he will be known as the 2nd or 3rd best player of his era.

He's also a cheap shot artist and a major tool. Always has been, from the moment he was drafted by Charlotte and refused to play for them. Everyone knows Kobe it was Kobe's fault that Shaq left the Flakers. Imagine that, breaking up a championship squad because crybaby Kobe wasn't getting the majority of the spotlight.

And look what happened, Shaq got another ring. Kobe will be lucky if he sees even one more ring now with the mediocre squad the Flakers will have for the remaining 4-5 years of his prime. Kobe better pray the Flakers can get KG, or else he can forget having ANY chance at another ring.

Good job Kobe, you got what you deserved.

What YOU Kobe lovers (and D.Wade lovers, and Lebron lovers, etc.) don't understand is that it's pointless to get into an argument over who the "best" player in basketball is. Anyone in their right mind who says that Kobe Bryant is not good at basketball is an idiot....but at the same time, anyone of you who claims he is something of a 2nd coming of God is just as idiotic.

I don't care what "facts" you claim to have or how much you claim to"know about basketball", a good TEAM will find a way to neutralize or at least contain someone like Kobe when they have to (see 2006 Western Conf. Finals Game 7 vs. Phoenix).

Championships speak for themselves. Talk all you want to about "D-Wade has Shaq" or "Steve Nash has a lot of help". At the end of the year, no one gives a rat's azz about who can beat who one-on-one (except maybe for all you guys who know basketball so much)....the only thing matters is the team who wins the championship.

All I can say is, let's see how Kobe deals with post-season defensive intensity. He's a great basketball player...don't get me wrong. I just hope he doesn't pull the old Phoenix Game 7 passive stuff from last year. Talk about shrinking at the wrong time....

Comparing him with MJ? What a Joker.....

I totally understand. I have to deal with Kobe haters all the time!! I think people don't know how to separate his personal life from his professional life. I LOVE Kobe, but I hate what I've seen of him outside of basketball, as far as him cheating and all. But honestly, that has nothing to do with him on the basketball court. He is a GREAT player. He does things on the court that not alot of others can do. He has to deal with being criticized and put down every single day, not to mention to try to carry his team alone on his back. People don't realize the pressure that he's under. The Lakers have a legendary reputation and he's the leader of that now. Shaq has left, he has to prove that he can make it without him. He has been compared to Micheal Jordan since he got in the league. There are tons of factors that make me admire him. Through everything and all the talk from the media, he goes out there and plays his heart out! Now, since the media has talked about him being a ball hog, he's even changed his whole game and to me, kind of forcing the involvement of his teammates.(too much at times). Right now there is double standard out there in the league. Every player can get away with certain things unless your name is Kobe Bryant which is evident by the last two suspensions that he's gotten. I could talk all day about Kobe, but I just wanted to get my point across. Go Kobe!!!

When it comes to individual play, Kobe is in a league all by himself. He is a threat on the offensive and defensive end. The man is good. However, when it comes to leadership skills and making teammates better, he is sub par. That is why the Lakers are struggling right now. The Lakers need a leader and Kobe refuse to acknowledge that fact. That's his greatest flaw, thinking he shouldn't play second fiddle to anyone else.

I did not hate Kobe first of all. He is a great player. But he needs another great player in order to win championship. Basketball is a team sport and he should be humble as God has given him great skills.

He is the best SG in the current NBA. But overall, I think Dirk is better this season and KG is still a monster by himself.

ya Kobe is the best player out there
he is clutch unlike lebron
can shoot 3 unlike wade
he can also play good defense

i am sure a lot of players swing during a shot, it is just the nba hates kobe. if wade did it nothing would happen.

I dont' like kobe. I'm not going to lie to you but I do admit that he is a helleva basketball player. I just dont like him because he thinks he is the best and is super cocky. One guy can't win a game by himself.

I laugh when people say they hate Kobe, because I envy Kobe for all the people who envy him and say he sucks. Kobe has no competition, who is better than him?

I hate Kobe too, but he is a great player for sure. Not the best player, we all know who that is (Nowitzki), but still a great player.
