The appropriate procedure is an impeachment. Call the city or county hall and ask how to initiate an impeachment.

a petition will most likely be necessary. remember, petitions require full name and signature. They must be residents of the area of the sheriff.

best of luck, I hate corruption.

First of all while I agree that he is crooked, he also innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of his peers. Iven this is a county trial more tna likely, you must hope the jusry is not stacked. Next you use this bust as a campaign tactic and run against him to get him voted out. That's the only way unless he is found guilty in the interim. If that be the case he will automatically lose his job.

I don't know why it is, but my life's experience tells me that a Sheriff is the most secure politician there is. I remember the Sheriff of this county being reelected while sitting in a cell for drug charges. Forget the Mayors. The Sheriff is the most powerful politician in this county. Maybe it's because he has all the dirt on the Mayors. LOL

How awful...but the law does state...innocent until proven guilty. I sure hope your jury is not so attached to him to "look the other way". I would start a petition to have him impeached due to his questiong behavior of being involved with drugs. Call your city hall and ask what the requirements are to have a politician or sherrif impeached. Be ready to do what ever it is they tell you is required. Start lining up potential sherrif opponents. Or run against him yourself! Good luck!
