i love the simplicty and how it focuses not on the color of life but the color of the story inside the picture making you notice the simple beauties of life without color and how natural it is.

i used to do black and white and i love the mood that it projects, it allows you to concentrate on shapes, textures and lighting.
i enjoy processing my own negatives ,it allows you to do alot more than using colour ,i love pushing my film(using asa 400 film and setting the camera at asa3200) which gives it a beautiful grainy look and i process the photograph my self which allows a great deal of control over the image, but most of all is that you can add some colour to a black and white photo but you can't take out colour from part of a colour photo.there are alot of techniques that you can do with black and white that you can't do with colour.
God bless,

I have some of it done @ my wedding. My parents were horrified....they grew up w/ B&W & can't IMAGINE why anyone would WANT B&W. Personally, I think it gives photos a very interesting, old-fashioned sort of look. Kinda sexy & interesting...especially when the subjects aren't smiling. I even took some B&W's when my dautghter was small...they're my favorites...they look great...she's in a black velvet dress in an old-fashioned wicker chair. Charming, just charming.

nice. it looks nastagic and really intresting. AMkes you think in some aspects. it is also easy to hide mistakes in as a photographer. I really like black and white along with sepia photographs. Makes it seem older. and sometimes the negatives look realy interesting.

I can not put my finger on it but I absolutely love it. My former nanny took some black and white pictures of my kids and gave them to me as a birthday present. I cherish them. Maybe it is because I see their personalities more without the distraction of color.

I like it too b/c it has a more elegant look, also if the picture is taken in b/w it has a diff meaning or point. It can give an avg pic a touch of poignancy or surrealism.

I think it's more fancy-looking, and I love how it draws your eyes to the parts that are lighter.
