I'm looking for a web site that will allow me to list an item for sale for free. Also, it needs to have a decent userbase.

I'm looking for a site that allows me to list an item to sell for no charge. I'm not talking about sell something for free, but lite it for free, as in not pay any money to list it. I do not own a credit card, so I can't use one that requires one. I've checked on Craigslist, but I don't think i'm comfortable with meeting in person.

Don't know what you meant by 'free' as you are not gonna make money out of it or free as in giveaways. You can always place your item on eBay and have a beginning price of $1 and charge for the shipping.

Check out Craigslist and look for where you live (they divide things by locality) or a place near where you live. I've had excellent results with them when I sold a car. They allow you to post up to four pictures with each classified ad. They also have a good system if you want to be able to screen responses before you have contact with customers — you can place ads and set things up so that people who are interested respond to a code numbered address, so that Craigslist will foward the response to your e-mail address but the person doesn't know who he or she is dealing with unless he gets an email reply from you. This screens out a lot of time wasters and gives you somewhat more security. Craigslist is entirely free for individuals (they do charge a fee in some cities for two classes of posters: commercial real estate agents; and commercial employment agencies). Besides the main Craigslist address, which I provide in the source list, try Googling Craigslist and look at a few articles about them (they've been written about in leading business magazines) and check out something like how to sell on Craigslist. I couldn't recommend any site higher, and intend to use them again as my wife and I start to sell things from our house in preparation for retirement downsizing and a move to an apartment.

quite some folk set up journals on LiveJournal that they use for the convey purpose of promoting issues.LiveJournal is loose to enroll in.And,as long as you placed your photos of things on a loose server like Photobucket, that area could be loose to boot.

If it's free then you're not selling it, you're giving it away; am I correct?
