Mexican culture and history is wonderful... but there're some aspects about people that I don't like.

Me, as a Mexican myself, I must tell you that many of them have grown-up with a traditional closed-minded way of life where the machism still tries to dominate girls.
However, let me tell you that world is changing and several Mexicans are open-minded and respectful... but I rarely find them. I have had too many quarrels and fights with Mexican guys because I am a very straightforward mexican girl who doesnt allow others to ban my ideas.

I am proud of being Mexican, but I don't like their ways. They think that if you're feminist and struggle to study then you're a stuck up, Another thing is that (unfortunately) they don't open to themselves to interact with other cultures because their parents maybe didn't teach them how to have tolerance and respect for diversity. ... i am having that problem because I love study so much and I love foreign languages, I have many foreign friends (most of them), and my boyfriend is Chinese.

However, as I previously mentioned, it depends of the family and how today's generations are raised. My parents are strict but open minded and respectful to other races. My best friend is Chinese and they adore her so much and allow her to come and leave my house anytime she wants, she is part of the family.

I have one friend who is Mexican. I find that many Mexicans who live here like sticking to themselves. Many don't like talking or hanging around people who aren't like them. But I have met a few who are kind. But I haven't met every single Mexican so I can't comment on others.

Are you mexican?
I think the same as I do about every other ethnicity. They have their good people, they have their bad people, they have skinny people, they have big people. When it comes to giving me opinion, I try to go on individual basis...so what are you like?

I think they are human like the rest of us. They only difference between us is skin color. I don't know any personally, but i have talked to them at Keeneland race track and in louisville, ky. We did'nt understand each others language very well, but we still carried on conversations that made sense to us all.

I know many, many Mexicans.
I think they are just like all people-- some are wonderful, some not so much.
But two of my most favorite people in the world speak little English and are named Paulo (age 8) and Aranza (age 9).

I like them as long as they don't act like they can't speak English and they are here legally. It's one thing if don't know the language, and quite another to act like they don't or to have a Green card vs. sneaking into the country.

I have a lot of Hispanic friends. People are people wherever they are from - even the Middle East. Who a person is is about what's inside, not where they come from.
