You probably should not give gifts as ethically this is like taking a bribe for a favor. An academic professional is a public service position that has an accountability to be ethical. I know you don't mean it like that, but it puts them in the position of having to defend that position. A thank-you note for all the support they have provided for you will be kindly appreciated.

The best gift that anyone can receive is positive feedback! Just write them a letter, either by itself or enclosed in a card, letting them know how they affected your life and how it helped to make you the person you are today. That will reinforce that what they do can have a positive influence on those around them. Something like that could never be construed as any form of bribery.
All a person wants from others is to know that they had a good effect on someone else. That is the best form of appreciation.

I believe you will get just as much effect if you were to just buy some thank you cards!
Most teachers get joy from knowing they have impacted your life in a positive way. Something you will carry with you for your lifetime.
Buying each of them a gift is nice too however, I know just a simple card expressing all of your appreciation would bring a smile on their face. If you still feel that you want to buy a small gift, how about gift cards to Starbucks. Everyone likes Starbucks. Good luck and congratulations to you.

how about manicure set, with clippers, files, buffers, etc. I have seen cheap ones with a small bag or case. It's pretty much unisex. Also I recieved from someone an electric mustashe/beard clipper that plugs in to recharge several years ago and I still love it. Gift cards are also a good way to go unisex.

The only thing that I can think of would be a gift card-maybe Montana's, or some
other special restaurant. It shouldn't be anything too personal. Everyone one likes to have a meal out so a gift card to a restaurant is what I give. People really
appreciate it.

Classy, simple, and sophisticated...
Well, I would give them a letter of thanks above all, showing that you took the time to personally thank them. Another cool thing to do is nominate them for teacher of the year award, as you can obtain proof that you did so. Enclose both items in an envelope with apple stationary(of course), and you have the best show of gratitude without going overboard and without the risk of them taking a "bribe"
Hope I Helped!!!

No, just write a thank you note or letter! They may not be able to accept "gifts" from students according to school policy.

The best thing to do is a thoughtful letter back to them tahnking them for their concern and if you want to include a gift certificate to Shoney's.

I don't feel it's appropriate to give a gift, a sincere thank you should suffice, after all, you earned the recommendation.

Maybe a Nice pen with their name engraved on it. a Thank you card would defintely be more than sufficient. Maybe you should check your school policy before buying anything....You don't want them to have to refuse your gift AFTER it's been presented to them.
