I have some kind of issue with my forehead where it starts itching and then a rash appears for about an hour or so. This is completely random, and I've tried all kinds of things to get rid of it. I considered wearing some makeup on my forehead because, well, it's terribly embarrassing. Can somebody please give some tips on what I can put on my forehead to cover up a rash (something I can buy at Wal-Mart or Wal-Greens) without making it look like I'm wearing makeup? Thanks!

Have you tried seeing a dermatologist first? That may be the solution.

In the meantime, use foundtion. Try one of those "true match" brands that look flawless on skin, so people won't be able to immediately tell you're wearing something. Although f you can, cover it with a hat. Much better than using makeup.

I'm sure it might be kind of embarrassing for you to wear make-up, maybe somet loose powder foundation or liquid cover-up that you can rub in. But really, I'd suggest not using make-up. It could end up irritating it even more. Maybe try Hydrocortisone Cream, you can buy it at Walmart or Walgreens or wherever. It helps rashes, I had a little rash on my skin that was always itchy, and i used this cream and it was almost all cleared up the next day and wasn't as itchy.

Goodluck with that, hope this helps!

No, don't wear makeup. First if you only wear it on your forehead you will look funny. Second it most likely will make the rash worse. Third you will look gay.

Find out what is causing the rash and treat the symptoms.

Your best bet would be to see a dermatologist. Change your shampoo to something else. Probably the more expensive the better. It sounds like an allergic reaction. I use Biolage. You can find it at any salon. Do NOT put make up on it. You will only worsen the situation. Call a dermatologists office or your local hospital. Tell them your symptoms they will probably help.

umm im not really sure, maybe you should get it checked out by your docter and see if theres anything you can get to make it go away. If you can go to a dermitologist, it would be better.

but if you want to get make up to cover it up and your docter or derm. says its ok, use something lightweight and loose, not powder, cause it wont blend in, find something that matches your skin tone. like foundation or something, but make sure its not oily, it might bother your skin more than other other make up. some make up is oil free, id go w/ that.

but id definatly ask a doc. or derm.

there also might be rash cream you could use, but you might not get the right thing so again ask a pro.

Try a tinted moisturizer. It will cover the red, moisturize your skin and is NOT make up. You can get it at Wal Mart. Good luck. PS - I think boys should wear makeup anyways....

Make up might irritate it even more. maybe you could wear a lose fitting kind of hat? Maybe you should try to find out what's causing the rash instead of just covering it up.

Hey we're not talking mascara and eyeshadow here. If this bothers you,of course you should try a natural cover up. Almay makes a hypo allergenic line of light foundations. you didn't say if your skin was oily or dry. You might want to cleanse your skin according to your skin type.Apply lightly and blend in edges well. It's your life and your business.Dude. Good luck.

I'd go see a skin doctor about this before I start putting makeup on it. Makeup might make it worse. Cheap makeup can do alot of damage to skin especially if it has somekind of problem to begin with.

Actually, makeup would probably make it worse.

It sounds like you might have allergies. You should probably go see a dermatologist, or, at the very least, talk with your general practitioner.

You could try using cetaphil lotion on your face, which is hypoallergenic.
