I don't buy most things there, but I will buy something there because of the return policy. If I don't trust the product, I know that I can give it a chance. I also buy about half of my groceries there, since they are the same products for WAY cheeper than a normal grocery store. I just can't afford to buy my groceries elsewhere, unless it is Costco.

When you realize that China is chopping up it's own people to sell body parts, and we give them most favored nation trade status, it is sickening. There is always a price to be paid for slavery, for inhumanity, call it karma, call it God, call it justice, but wrath will be their reward. Walmart, like China, has done a good job of squeezing out the competition, and by raising scrap prices unused manufacturing equipment in this nation has been destroyed, all the while Wall St. gurus tell us globalization is good, China buying our national debt spent fighting the terrorists (who conveniently benefit China with every strike against us) they claimed was good, until that little hiccup the other day and then everyone was fretting about our stock market having a "hard landing" due to our whopping national debt. Buy American, support local tradesman and manufacturers when you can. But the ugly reality is due to the corruption of our political parties and elected leaders by foreign money, we can't build one car, power plant or powerline without importing everything. While they all point fingers and say it's the fault of American labor unions, too restrictive enviromental laws, etc. etc. none of it would be possible without the complicity of politicians who beg our votes and sell us down the river, every penny that goes to China helps build their colossal war machine that will seek to dominate the world and treat all the people the way it does it's own citizens. Our only hope is the people of China themselves throwing off their chains, those who make the simple articles we take for granted, who would give anything for 1/10th as much freedom as we enjoy for their own children.

when you live in a small town and walmart is the only department store willing to come to town you really don't have much choice other than to drive the 2 1/2 hour drive to the "big" city.

I hate walking in that store. Sometimes i'll go in there if i'm with my mother or another friend, but i won't buy anything.

And as i was looking at their prices one day when i was with my mother, they are the same price as my store, its a smaller grocery store...and people think they are cheaper....and they really arn't. Tampons are the same price there as in my store!
