It doesn't always mean a kid was raised bad. I was (well, am being) raised by two very strict southern baptist parents. I was raised to respect everyone,be polite, be a gentleman, and to work for everything I want.I'm 14 and I have sex on a fairly regular basis. i'm safe about it and I dont do it out in public. Do I think it's right? Not really,i know it's not. But it's part of my life and if I'm going to do it,at least I'm doing it responsibly. Would I want my kids to have sex that early? Not a chance. But sometimes (a lot of times) it happens, so there's nothing to do about it except teach them to be safe about it. And no i don't think it's right that a lot of teens are so shameless with it. I don't like PDA at ALL much less when it gets really steamy.i've never had an audience for even a makeout and I don't plan on changing that sooN!
THey say teens have a ton of hormones that are out of control. That wasn't any differnet in the past, so I'm pretty sure its a safe bet that this isn't the first generation to have sex young. They were just more careful about it before us.

I think you'll find Its about us guys having ***** and wanting to get some! From the age of time its pretty much what its been about? Kids are just socialized in a way (by the media, tv, magazines etc) now they actually know what they are after before they've even finished growing pubic hair...and have no idea of what to do when they are gettin it as the media is now there classroom...I'd say at least £75% (generous estimate...with no real data to back it up) of all teenagers will pay more attention to what is shown or tv than they will to there teachers on a daily basis! i dont know how many hours schooling the kids get in the states (i'm British by the way)? But if you consider every moment they are not in class or asleep they are being constatntly bombarded with sexual images almost relentlesly for the rest of the day.... and lets face it sex is so much more important and exciting to you at that age than Maths or Geography? where do you think its coming from?

I disagree with some of the people out there. Not just the kids that have been raised in trash do this. I am 15 and my friend goes to church and is smart and gets wonderful grades and has had a really good life with a nice house and good parents the never have done drugs or hit her or anything and she isn't a virgin and dances like that and I have danced like that twice but I was drunk and regret it because it got me into a lot of things I shouldn't have done and was the reason for my 3 month old child.

All that just is the result of the modern civilization and what new generations wanted. Sex as like as many others things lost their worth. Boys and girls having sex during infancy and puberty with a lot of pregnant teenagers around. Sex as a simple need to satisfy quickly anyway and everyway! On the other hand, it's time when early ejaculation and erectile dysfunction are prevalent by younger generations while there is a lessening of the fertility overall. Is this evolution?

No it has not been the norm. I am 15 and abhor sex before marriage, so, I am a bit of an exception. I will agree that teens today are having WAY to much sex. Like you said, even our dances are becoming sexually suggestive. At our school, I call the dances rape-fests. That is what they are, at every school in our city. There has not been one High school in our city whom, within the past year or so, has not found condoms (both used and unused) underwear, alcohol, or something similar on the floor after the dances. It is just pathetic. I would support more regulations on teens. They are just to rebellious.

This is because of so many changes that has made our world is about sex and money. A lot of families are not raising their kids with both parents. Not just single mothers i'm saying the men that are making these babies and running. Sex is being showed on TV more. Even the teen shows has sex being the main topic. look at American idol you have to have the whole package. Singing, sexy, looks and etc. So much has killed the main point of the world.

i think it's mostly a result of irresponsible or abusive parents. at my high school the sophomore class has the most promiscuous group of people i know (to put it elegantly). i actually heard a girl the other day say something like "oh i wanted to get laid today" and i was shocked. this is a 15-year-old or so girl talking about it like it's nothing. i swear some parents shouldn't be allowed to raise children. i know it sometimes isn't the parents' fault but wow, i wonder what's going to happen to those kids in 5, 10, 15 years.

I don't think it's been like this in the past. I graduated high school in 2006 and was never into portraying myself like one of those "girls" on MTV. I wasn't into wearing makeup or girl stuff. I think it has to do with a couple things. Parents don't seem to enforce values and morals on their kids anymore. There's too many music videos on MTV and VH1 where you got lots of women dancing like b****es and shaking their stuff. So when you prop your young daughters down in front of the television and let them watch that crap they think it's perfectly fine to go out and do it because these "women" are doing it so it must be ok for them to do it. Also there's too much sex in movies and television shows now that it's not safe to let kids watch anything anymore. I personally think that channels like MTV and VH1 need to be banned so these young girls don't wind up pregnant or dancing in strip clubs at the age of 18 or turning tricks in the back alleys. They don't realize that they are degrading themselves by doing this type of stuff. I also think that all the adult stores and stores like Victoria's Secret and other nasty lingerie stores need to be shut down because this is also encouraging this sort of behavior. I know a lot of people may not agree with me but it's the only way to keep these young girls from going down the wrong path and teaching them that sex is not ok except in marriage.

It's a trend!
It's a trend to smoke, do drugs, drink, and have sex. Every teenager wants the old 80's rock-star life now!
I, personally, being 16 years old myself. Think that it's just kids trying to act more adult and everything. They think they'll have a higher standard in society if they have sex with several different people.
Why do you think there are more and more teen mothers each month? Because of foolishness. STDs are sky-rocketed because of them not caring about themselves.
It's simple;; They get too much slack at home. They're not raised in a strict home. They can do what they want when they want.
My parents raised me to respect myself, others, and live by rules, and live by the responsibilities my actions will give.

Seems they keep getting wilder with each generation.
I graduated from high school in 1991. I never heard of "hooking up" or "freak-dancing" or anything like that in high school.
Used to be you dated a guy for a while before you had sex (I waited until marriage). Now it seems that people are going up to complete strangers and having one-night stands with them on a regular basis.
So I don't think it's always been the norm.
