Two come to mind: Alice Cooper's "What Do You Want From Me", off his "The Eyes Of Alice Cooper" (released about 3 or so years ago) and Billy Squier's "Whadda Want From Me?" from his "Don't Say No" album (released long ago, 1982).
My hunch Cooper's song is the one you're thinking of, but it's time well spent giving a listen to Squier's song, too.
