Masturbation has no relation to rape whatsoever, because rape isn't about sexual desires, but about power. Rapists aren't acting because they're horny, but for other reasons. The sex is just a mode of being in control, in power, and satisfying more complex feelings.
As for porn, well, certainly some of the very violent porn may have a hand in increasing violent attitudes towards women and a linking of sex with violence. But even so, I personally don't think that porn, no matter how violent, can cause someone to want rape; it's more like those inclined towards rape will seek out violent pornography. Not to mention that lots of people who have perfectly healthy, normal sex lives may enjoy violent porn; unlike the anti-porn feminists would have you believe, porn doesn't cause anything.
And, just like masturbation, porn doesn't prevent rape, because, as I said, rape is about power, not sex.
Hope that helps.

I don't know about whether they help prevent it, and in the case of porn probably promotes sexual assault to some degree but your premise is wrong. The numbers of actual and attempted rapes has dropped for the last thirty years(on average there were some upticks on the numbers along the way) with only a slight increase of .1 per 1000 people in '05. So there really is no increasing rape scene.

I think that cando_86 has it just about right, but if one is freely able to masturbate and does not force it on others then they may indeed be less apt to go find another human being to rape? That would certainly not be a for sure thing.
Yet, it is just recently that we are even able to openly talk about masturbation, it use to be seen as a nasty thing that only perverts did, so the better thing to do was to go and find another human being if they wanted to be found or not or if they wanted to do it or not and do it to them anyway. Somehow it seemed to make it a more manly way of doing things to take it or more womanly way if she let him have it rather then to just tease him in spite of the names she might be called.
That is wrong many times though, sex is not bad or dirty or anything like that if it is done appropriately and with mutual consent between adults that are being responsible, it can be very good. Masturbation is not dirty or nasty or perverted either, it is another and sometimes maybe even better way of meeting a real and human need that we all have.
And no it does not make you get warts. Self exam is often an important part of prevention, but if you feel dirty or shamed about touching yourself it makes it twice as difficult to know how you are actually doing.

I don't think masturbation and porn really have anything to do with rape. Rape is more about control, power and dominance over the victim. The anti-porn people like to say porn leads to rape but they don't have any proof. They don't have an intelligent argument so they pull things out of their azzes.
