Can I use a reciprocal saw to cut tree branches? Will it do an adequate job, or will overload the saw? Thanks.

yes you can. and use a blade made for branch trimming too. there are a few out there, though you may have to hunt a little. i have found one or two at the h.d. and lowes, one is called "the ugly" and that is made by Skil part # 94100. it is made for wood and pruning, the blade is heat treated and looks like a bow saw blade. it is really aggressive and sharp so be careful not to bump it on your leg! good luck, work safe.

Yes you can. Milwaukee [Sawzall], makes the best, the higher the amperage draw, the more work it can do. I personally like using the longer " fire/rescue " blades. Be sure to make your undercut first, and safely plan where the branch will fall. Use safety ropes, if need be.

no matter what saw you use it is ok, just cut in a little from the bottom. then cut from the top. if you do it right ,the limb will just snap off, not enough and it will bend and tear the bark back. too much om the bottom and it will pinch the saw, and jerk around.. Use finesse.

You can, just use a wood blade on it. I gought a limb lopper, and it will let me lop off limbs up to a inch and a half and up ot 10 feet in the air.

sure it will, i use a 14.4v dewalt to trim my branches and as long as you have a long enough blade it will work fine... just make sure you have the batteries charged because they will go fast, if you have one thats not cordless then you will be fine, unless you are cutting petrified wood you wont overload it

The saw is designed to cut wood. there should be no problem. I have been in a pince and used a jig saw before, because it was all I had available.

I guess it could work, but I wouldn't do it. With it jerking around it might get stuck and jump and....there goes an arm.
