I think that when you end up on the show INTERVENTION , you really have hit rock bottom. Those people are really really sick. That show exposes the reality of addicts and their families. It also is a show that represents hope. No one can assume it will never happen to them or to someone from their family. Watching it helped me to be less judgmental towards addictions.

I think it is a little disturbing. I dont think I'd want something like that in my life put on television.
But, I do think that people should see how different addictions/disorders affect peoples lives and the lives of their family and friends. And I think that "Intervention" depicts that pretty well.

If they cut out the part during the intervention when each family member has a personal melt-down I would like it much better.
Too much drama.

It's an intense show, no doubt. I find it really fascinating how the addict copes with their life and their addiction. It's really kinda sad and scary. but I like the idea of how they tell the addict its just a regular show on addiction and how they flip it to an intervention.

Yep, Sometimes it makes me cry! My husband looks at me like I'm crazy. The part where the family finally comes to a point of separating themselves, pushing there kid away. That must be so hard to do. But I guess when you put up & put up with watching your child self destruct, I suppose you have to step away from them for your own sanity! . It's like they are only living to die! I understand it but it still must be the hardest things to do.
