Just recently I was in a store and was told by the clerk that the sizes of our clothing have changed. Where we were lets say a size 10 in past years, a 10 can fit into a 6 now and so on. It's a ploy by the retail industry to make us a society feel better about our weight etc. This is also an interesting article in the March issue of Cosmopolitan. There is now sizes 00 and 0 that will fit a person who used to be a 2!! It's crazy how it's true. In the article it shows the same pants from the Gap in a 10 year difference (so '97 and '07) and how the same 'size' of pants is two different inch measurements. From a 32' to a 34' waist in the same size!

Many people in the clothing/fashion industry like to trick people in sizes. Like a pair of pants from Gap size 36 inch may be different from Gucci size 36 inch waist pants. All in all their most of the fashion mottos are skinny is better. I cannot go into designer stores and find anything plus size. I am size 10/12.

Do you live in the USA? I am a Canadian and when I was in California recently I noticed something about clothing sizes, something very strange lol. Here where I live I'm a size medium, in California, I had to buy every item of clothing I picked up in size extra small. I just found that very strange and had to mention it here. I read that clothing manufacturer's will put a smaller size on an article of clothing in order to entice the consumer to buy that brand again because the wearer can be fooled into believing she is a size 2 when in reality she is a size 6.

because they probably fit around your hips. This means you probably have the hips size of the average 32 inch waist person.
