Improvements in means of transport has resulted in people being able to move away from trouble spots. Improvements in communication has resulted in us hearing about others problems. Their problems have always been there, they're making headlines only now, partly because they're sensitive topics, mostly because our conscience does not allow us to look away when we see their suffering.

OK, can we get off the political corrections crap with calling people internally displaced persons, for God sakes, they are refugees. Maybe others do not see that political corrections will be the down fall of this country because we are so stinking worried about hurting some one else's feelings. If they would let us fight the war in Iraq the way the military is built to fight the war, we would have been out there a long time ago, but we can't hurt anyones feelings now can we.
