A friend wants to have her baby girl's middle name Scott, but we think it should be a girl version. Scott after her grandpa or something.

Just looked in a baby name book and Scotti is the feminine form of Scott. Variations are Scota, Scotia, Scottie and Scotty

It doesnt have a female version.... but i dont think there's anything wrong with using Scott as a middle name, if it means something to her and it's after a loved one.... no offense, but it's your friend's baby and if she wants to use the middle name Scott then you should let her... do you want to talk her out of it at the last minute and then have her regret that she didn't use the name? she might be a bit resentful toward you....

Let her use the name. It's the middle name and it's for someone she loves. If it were the first name she will have to do some explaining :). My son's middle name is McPhail. It was his great grandmother maiden name . Surnames as first or middle names are starting to become popular but go with your gut. Oh sorry got off track...How about a name that starts with "sc" "sk" or "sco"? Like Skyla. Good Luck!!

I think Scott as a girls' name could work well too - it sounds strong and unique. As long as she had a girly middle name or maybe a second first name (Scott-Elise, Scott-Angelina, Scott Elizabeth.)

I think Scott would be a fine middle name for a lil girl. But, she could also do something like Scotlyn or Skilyn (Skylin, Skylyn)

Don't think there is a feminine version of it, but since it has special meaning, I think Scott is a fine middle name for a girl.
