I'm not huge on meds for babies, but simple infant tylenol is probably a good idea. It will alleviate that sore throat and any other pains (such as a headache) she may have.
For a congested nose, I get the bathroom very steamy by using the hottest water in the shower to fill the room with steam, then draw my kiddo a WARM bath- not hot. After the steam loosens up all that mucous, suck it out with a booger sucker.
Otherwise, just keep her elevated like you're already doing and make sure her sleeping conditions are as comfortable as possible.
One last thing I can suggest to you is to put on one of those ocean sounds CD's (if you have one) or even a small fan (not pointed at the baby) to make a constant, soothing noise. Sleeping when you're sick is hard and having a soothing background noise to drown out anything else going on in the house helps keep the baby asleep.

Doesn;t sound like it was the pears. Sounds like more likely there was a big gas bubble in her tummy and it came up the front. My son has done that a number of times, especially after drinking. Many things can cause babies to vomit and its likely harmless, just a freak thing. You can hold off on the pears, but unless you see a rash or other irritation then its unlikely an allergy. Maybe you want to consider not feeding her to the point of falling asleep. When she falls asleep she loses the ability to know when she needs to burp it out. So it likey just built up and the excess liquid going down to the tummy just overloaded her, or she choked a bit and it all came up. Its frustrating, but maybe take the bottle out when she falls asleep. If she wakes up for more, give her more, but she is old enough that she probably doesnt or shouldn't need to fall asleep with the bottlein her mouth. But yes, try the pears in another week and see if she has the same reaction. I would try giving her new foods always in the morning, then if she reacts, you have the whole day to deal with it :)

Vick's makes a chest rub for babies, which can help with congestion-but DO NOT use the adult chest rub on her. If she is really congested and uncomfortable, go get the Pediacare (or whatever brand) decongestant for infants - you can get it at any drugstore and probably any supermarket. Otherwise sounds like you are doing all the right things.

1st of all do not give a baby cough meds. it is not good for them and american academy of pediatrics does not recomend them. the sleeping on an incline is great, but you need a humidifior, not a de-humidifior. you can use plain saline for her nose, the bulb syringe and take her in the bathroom with you so she can enjoy the steam. if the congestion doesnt respond to any of this,or u are really worried call your dr.

Push as much fluid as you can get her to drink. There are also some "things" that you can get at Wal-Mart or any type of store like that, that are vapor pads that you plug into a wall socket and it fills the room with the vapor (smells like Vicks) and it definitely helps with opening them up. Worked wonders for my little one!! There are many different brands, I think I got PediaCare.

Hi !!!
I'm so sorry to hear that your little one is sick!!!
When my kids were little and had the same problem, the doctor always advised me to keep them in the bathroom with the door closed;
(NOT TO SHOWER OR BATHE!!!) JUST TO LET THEM BREATH THE VAPOR OF THE STEAM FROM THE HOT WATER) LIKE A SAUNA.
"NOT NOT LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! PLEASE!!! IT IS VERY DANGEROUS" !!!
Then open the hot water, and let the HOTwater vapor, fill the bathroom, completely. Stay with them, for as long as you can or as long as the feel comfortable.
What this does, is helps loosen up the mucus, that is stuck to the various, walls, as in the sinus, bronchial and throat.
Try to do this,in the mornings, when they wake up. and at night, just before going to sleep.
Give the medication as prescribe, and just be patient.
But definitely try to do this, because it helps, A LOT!!!
I still do it even for myself!!! Still you need to wait the course of nature, approximately from one to two weeks until the cold clears off!!!
Before coming out of the bathroom, make sure to dry the sweat, and put on dry pajamas. If you let her with the same cloth since it is damp with steam it will affect her negatively, she will get worst!!! Keep her dry, and comfortable.
If you are CHRISTIAN, prayers do work wonders too!!!
And if you are not, I suggest you try it, you will notice the difference.
GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE
A.Z.
