Actually there was an African-American country singer back in the 70s named Charley Pride. He was one of the biggest names in country in his day. Now there's a guy named Cowboy Troy who actually combined rap and country into what he calls hick-hop. It's quite interesting. That's about it though.

Along with Charlie Pride, there was a man in the early 90's named Cleve Francis, who sang a song called "Love Light". He was a brain surgeon turned country star.

there's an older country singer who is African American by the name of Charlie Pride...and there is that one who was with Big And Rich. Cowboy Troy was his name I think.
