For a HP-Pavilion, it is normal for the recovery drive (D:) to be almost full because what it basically does is saves the PC's original (factory) settings and OS just in case something bad happens to the main drive (ex. reformats itself, bad virus; etc.) so you will just have to boot from cd to activate it. And no, you do not want to defrag it, even if you could.

The disk is a actual merchandise with in basic terms plenty area for information on it. whilst that area is all used up, you're low on area. What you're able to do is take a number of the information you hardly use (music, photos, previous documents and documents) and pass them to a various area including a CD or DVD. you will nonetheless have the information in case you ever pick them. you additionally can purchase an added storage gadget, including a memory stick (and pass your photos, musics, docs, and so on) to there. Or upload an exterior USB force and pass some your information and courses to there. however the only thank you to get extra area on your present day force is to get rid of the a number of the information utilising up each and all the area.
