I had a tubal ligation in 1995, 6 weeks after the birth of my youngest child - not sure what type of tubal. I have had some late periods before where I thought I might be pregnant, but I was not. My last period was 2 weeks ago. I had sex one week ago and I've started having some early pregnancy symptoms in the last couple of days. My breasts are incredibly sore and heavy and I'm nauseated and dizzy. It is way too early for PMS, and I don't ever get mid-cycle symptoms like this.

It is possible to have pregnancy symptoms before your period. I had a complete tubal in 1996 after the loss of my last daughter and I have been sex free since my divorce, but I still have symptoms of pregnancy. It could just be your hormones. Still go get checked though. You don't want to have a tubal pregnancy. Hope this helps.

Nothing but getting your uterus removed is 100% effective at preventing pregnancy. It is possible to get Pregnant again after a BTL. Some times removed tissue can grow back. You could also have an ectopic pregnancy, which to avoid immense pain should be diagnosed as early as possible. I had a fried who's sister had an ectopic pregnancy after a BTL and she said it was the most painful thing she had ever been through. Go to you doctor and find out for sure. Either way, good luck to you.
